My experience at this office was terrible. I had a number of questions regarding the diagnosis of my foot injury, and the recommended treatments from the doctor. When asking questions to further understand the situation and my options for treatment, the doctor seemed annoyed and frustrated of what I was asking. I felt rushed, and not cared for. Instead of taking 5-10 extra minutes to talk to me, the doctor recommended I research everything on the internet. The options I was given to treat my injury was either to get 1 of 2 different shots that I would have to pay out of pocket (instance didn’t cover them) or surgery. Thankfully I sought out a 2nd opinion.
When I requested to have my medical record CD of the MRI mailed to me, the assistant who was communicating with me failed to respond to emails and phone calls for over a week, which added stress to the situation and further made me feel not appreciated, valued, or cared for. My experience felt like a prime example of the issues that plague our health ‘care’ system. The pay for service model of service/business is absent of empathy and care, and felt more transactional and focused on turning patients over as quickly as possible more than anything, versus any sort of ‘care’. I would advise anyone to not seek service or care at this establishment.

University Foot and Ankle institute is dirty. It is not clear if they clean the office and there were many odd odors in the office. Unfortunately there are unsanitary conditions in the bathroom. People in the waiting room had an altercation when I was there. I would go to a different doctor.

I went on a hiking trip in Seattle and got a wood sliver deep in my foot from a walk on the beach. After 2 weeks of event work and continued infection, I saw a general MD but he insisted I see a podiatrist. That same day I was able to get an appointment with Dr. Redkar in Beverly Hills. After days of worry and anxiety, she was able to fully treat me that same day. She was kind and truly relieved all my medical concerns. She did a small procedure and ordered antibiotics and I was on my way to healing. I also had a follow up visit with at her Olympic blvd office as well. The staff were all friendly and helpful at both offices. Plus, the cost of services was affordable as well. Dr. Redkar was wonderful and has a great bedside manner. I highly recommend her. If you have any issues regarding your feet, this is the place to go.

The staff is very kind and professional. Also, with reasonable payments. Depending if you have insurance or not. The doctor was also very kind and professional with his patients. Very helpful and take care of the pain. Took care of my painful ingrown toe nails. Nurses were also kind and professional as well.

I'm very pleased with the medical team and the rest of the office staff. Everyone is very nice. I've been coming for many years to see Dr. Chan who is wonderful. I had one appointment recently with Dr. Redkar and I was extremely satisfied with her care and warm personality. This is a most competent medical group for foot and ankle issues.

Excellent, Dr briskin, my foot surgeon, wonderful, very kind, great surgeon. with minimal pain after sugery. He explain everything and made me feel very trusting and calm. Dr Johnson, his kindness, listen to my issues and helping to solve the problems immediately. After the surgery, he came back out to rewrap my cast for me when it was pressing on my ankle and very painful. I am very grateful to him and to the care I receive from both Dr. Briskin and Dr. Johnson.

We thought our current situation was well addressed as the clinic was able to effectively repair the nearly new orthotic that had come apart. What would be helpful is since we are patients who come in very rarely, that some communication about when it will be necessary to come back is better outlined.

We initiated this appointment since it had been some years (since this year's appointments) that we last visited, and thought it necessary to have our son's progress checked.

Currently, we do not have any information about when or if it is necessary to do this again next year or check in the year after, etc.

We thank you for the service provided otherwise by your clinic, and maybe an e-mail or automated reminder would help in regards to future care. Thank you!

Sincerely,
Ron Erese
