I only give a one because zero is not an option. I have been trying to get an appointment since December 1 of 2023 and there is consistently an issue and now my appointment is being completely denied because the doctor I was referred to is gone for an “indeterminate amount of time.” And I’m told no other podiatrist will see a diabetic patient. I’m told to follow up with my primary care who are the ones that referred me to them because it’s not their specialty and the specialty clinic is saying it’s not their specialty poor Service bad attitudes 0 out of 10 do not recommend

Excellent service! Nicest staff in town. Dr. Berg is very competent and friendly. These folks go out their way to deliver A+ service. They enjoy their jobs which separates them from others. Highly Recommend!

Follow up from below - Still no one has called me after I've left numerous voicemails over three weeks, and no one answering the phone. Very frustrating.

Left two voicemails to schedule an appointment using a VA referral 6 days ago. I finally got ahold of the receptionist, and she said they did not receive any voicemails from me nor the VA referral from 8 days ago and there is nothing she can do other than for me to verify it was faxed to them. I know VA referrals can be tricky, but not getting my voicemails is not satisfactory. They need to check their phone / voicemail system/processes. This makes me question the effectiveness of this office and starts the relationship off in a negative manner. After the call I printed a copy of the VA referral, and it shows all the correct information for Dr Berg, so not sure why they have not received the referral yet. I called again and spoke with the same receptionist, and she said it takes over a week for referrals to process through their system after receiving the fax, and even though I had the VA referral number and letter in hand, there was nothing she could do. I even offered to bring the referral to the office, but she said there is nothing they can do until the referral reaches their office. After 8 days, why can't they contact the referral in processing office the see if it was received? Not a helpful or customer service-oriented office.

Dr. Berg and the staff at Intermountain are wonderful! It was easy to get an appointment and the office is clean and welcoming. I appreciate the appointment reminders and the thorough examination that Dr. Berg gave me. Her expertise and attention to detail have made me a satisfied patient and I have recommended my friends and colleagues to her. I was glad when she gave me literature to take home that explained my condition and laid out the treatment plan that I could go back and reference. I was in pain for months before I came in- I saw several doctors and spent months in physical therapy and was still in pain constantly. Following her assessment and treatment plan, my pain has significantly improved! My only regret is not coming in to see her sooner.

After seeing 4 Dr's, two emergency room visits, and 1 orthopedic surgeon, Dr Berg was the only one to heal me. She was so kind, understanding, and knew exactly how to get me back to health. I would recommend her for any type of foot problem. The office staff is just the nicest as well. I can't thank her enough for the healing she provided to me.

Update to Original Review/Message to Provider: When can I expect a refund on service dates spanning 09/09/21 - 12/06/21? I was nice enough to pay your office out of pocket due to your struggles with billing insurance, despite the fact that I had already met my deductible for the year. Since then, seems your office has been double paid by myself and insurance on these service dates. Only dates that insurance did not pay anything on are 09/09/21 and 10/25/21 because your office has failed to provide corrected modifiers/codes on claims even after being contacted several times by my insurance. That’s the fault of your office, and you need to resolve with insurance on your own time. I shouldn’t have to wait any longer on my reimbursement. Bottomline, I want my money, and this is the only way to contact you as your phone recording seems to always say you’re closed. Don’t believe me, then see other reviews with similar comments about your phone system.

Original Review: Read and heed. This place is inept when it comes to billing insurance. Attempts were made and my insurance provided instructions on how to submit properly. This place still couldn't get it right and blamed my insurance. I knew better as I’ve never had issues with my insurance until dealing with this place. In realizing the incompetence of this place, I agreed to pay the account balance in full and file my own claim with insurance for reimbursement. When the claim processed, my reimbursement check went to this place by mistake. This place then cashed the check even though no balance remained on my account. I called this place with my insurance company on the phone to rectify. This place acknowledged cashing the check and was supposed to follow-up with getting money back to me. Never happened. I recommend no one seek treatment at this place.

Went to this doctor on January 19th. Instead of charging me my $40 copay, they thought they knew how to figure out my insurance and what I would owe. When the claim was paid, I owed $40 so I called them for a refund. Then I called them again. They said they had had to call the insurance to verify that I only owed $40 and that that was correct and they would refund me. Now it's March 1 and still no refund. Just called AGAIN and was told the person is in a meeting and she'll have to call me back. Why didn't she call me back the other times I called and was told I'd be refunded? Still waiting...

I have been a patient of Dr. Berg for years and had always been pleased with my care. I also appreciated that Dr. Berg worked me in for my most recent appointment.

Unfortunately, I was provided unnecessary and expensive treatment. To make matters worse, I received a bill a month later, even though I paid in full (over $500 for 30 minute visit and walking boot!) at the time of service.

When I called and told them I had paid during my visit they began questioning my integrity asking if I had a receipt, etc., even though it was their mistake that the payment wasn't posted to my account.

I then asked to speak with Dr. Berg about my concerns and was told she would call me back, which she never did.
