En dias pasados asisti a la consulta, el doctor apenas me atendio, me remitio a realizarme un MRI, k yo buscara la clinica k me lo realizaran, en la misma me informaron la la clinica del doctor debia coordinar con el seguro para dicha prueba, me canse de llamar a la consulta para la coordinacion, en la cual me informaron k ellos no hacian eso, cosa k si deben hacer, bien para no dilatar mucho, me dijeron k habian contactatado al seguro y el mismo no aprobo el MRI, cuando llamo al seguro me dicen k nadie les habia solicitado una prueba del mismo , en fin me mintieron y tuve k pagar 200 dolares por la prueba. , cuando vuelvo a llamar a la clinica no me contestan el telefono, en fin no la recomiendo

muy profesionales el equipo de trabajo del doctor , el doctor muy bueno y muy amable, vine con dolor en mi pie y el me ha ido dando solución, me siento que fue muy buena elección de escoger al doctor como mi podiatra

Unfortunately the lack of communication and disorganization of this practice have left me waiting months for insoles to the point where I just made an appointment with another podiatrist. I had my first appt in March. They told me to come back in 6-8 for my insoles. I arrive to that appointment to be told my insurance hasn’t approved them yet (then why was I told otherwise?). My insurance company tells me they have still not received the required information from this office to approve my insoles. I have called and spoken with someone in the office about this. I have also written multiple emails to the office about this. Though they respond quickly to appointment and medical records emails they have just blatantly ignored some where I have tried to follow up about my insoles. It should not be this hard or this much effort to get my insoles and get pain relief.

In November of 2023 I was seen by Dr Zephirin. I should have walked out of the exam room when I saw how dirty it was and unsanitary. But I ignored my gut feelings. I wanted to get my big toenail permanently removed where it had been causing me a lot of pain for a long time. I have had the procedure done previously on one of my other toes when I lived in another state where I had absolutely no issues with the procedure or with the healing process .That being said, Dr Zephirin informed me he does not like doing a permanent total nail removal because it causes more issues. He said he was able to do a partial removal only. He performed the procedure on my toe . Once again I astonished at the lack of sterilization of my toe itself whereas it was a medical procedure being done on it. After weekly follow up visits, he realized it was indeed infected. Heavy growth of staphylococcus. Antibiotics were prescribed,. Continued weekly visits where he still was cutting out toenail material. Another culture of infection, more staphylococcus. But this time I was already in the Emergency Room. I was diagnosed with cellulitis. Hospital made me go see another podiatrist. After 7 weeks of dr Zephirin’s botched surgery, I had to have the entire procedure done all over again to corrects what he had botched. I contacted zephirins office manager several times to work this out with me and to get reimbursed. She basically said that this is all a normal healing process . All kinds of excuses. Apparently she forgot I had permanent total nail removal years ago and I know how it should have been done. Unfortunately, I should have listened to my gut and walked out. They are all about the money and not about my care and my health: sadly. I have requested to communicate with the owner ( Gary D Small) owner of this business s times, but I have never received communication from him.This office should do the right thing. Please, stay clear of this office and find another capable podiatrist that will actually care for you and do no harm. I

Front desk staff members are extremely helpful and organized, they will assist you with all your problems and questions, including insurance. Doctor is extremely friendly, very confident too which helps provide emotional support and reassurance to those coming for an appointment. Doctor will assist you with all your needs in the most efficient and safe way possible, Doctor will also display several options of medical assistance, in case one does not work as efficient as the patient would like. Would absolutely and definitely recommend to anyone who has the insurance to cover it. Amazing experience.

I received a great treatment from Dr. Zephirin and his assistants for over a year. However I had many issues with the billing process. They never sent bills with pending balances (although they say they did and blame the post office for me not receiving the letters) and never notified me the times when I went to the office that I had an old charge uncovered by my insurance. In two opportunities they sent my information to a collection agency, without notifying me first. It's very curious how the collection agency is very efficient at sending notes over the mail and still I do not receive any mail from Coral Gables Podiatry Center. The second time I received a letter from collection, I decided to discontinue the treatment and find another podiatry in Miami, not because the Doctor but because the way the managed the billing process: This time the collection letter said I had a balance 90+ days old, that later the office confirmed it was 60 days old. Also the letter was threatening saying that my credit score was at risk and also that I was close to pay interests. Again, I never received these statements (That I usually pay right away) from the office or received a call from them. Because of this and the deficient communication, mailing and billing process they have in place, I do not recommend this practice at all.

Appreciate your response to this review on Feb 15 and the call I received last week, but it does not take away the fact that 1) Your system has a limitation that sends people to collection without giving the the opportunity to be aware that they have old charges, 2) that I had to deal with a very unkind and rude agent over the phone that insisted that the lack of notifications was due to an issue with the mail service (that later someone confirmed was a limitation of the practice system) and 3) that because of that incident, I discontinued my treatment with the practice. Again, thanks to the kind lady who explained to me the issue last week, but please, do not make see your response to this review as if everything was because of a process issue with my insurance, when in reality the severity of this incident was due to a lack of professionalism from the representative of this practice I spoke with on phone with. This gentleman is the main reason I decided to write this review in this place as I do not believe is a fair treatment to a patient that was loyal to this practice for almost a year.
