I went in for a damaged nail that has casued pain for years. I was at a loss when the Dr did absolutly nothing and hardley even looked at my issue. He literally told me to wait until it gets infected and in pain before I come back instead of fixing the issue at that appointment. I am shocked how this place is even open getting new patients. What a complete joke!!!!! Waste of a $60 copay for ZERO!!!!

Have you ever walked in a room and felt that you were being talked about? Well it happened here. Before exiting I stopped by the receptionist desk. My doctor was also there. As I approached the 2 receptionists and doctor looked at me and laughed. The doctor walked away then returned and asked if I watched “ Yellowjacket”. I supposingly looked like someone on the show. The doctor then left. Having never heard of show, I acquired about the character. The receptionist then stated that she didnt watch the show.
This incident was unprofessional and disrespectful

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Dhagash Patel and the team at Carolina Foot & Ankle. I had an incredible experience with the two bunionectomies done on my right foot (both sides of foot). Dr. Patel treated me with the utmost respect and care, taking my concerns seriously and walking me through what to expect from the surgery. My bunionectomy results are fantastic- my foot looks and feels normal, I no longer have pain associated with the bunion. The surgery itself was seamless, and I frankly had no pain afterward due to the localized numbing. I could not have had a better healing process - my foot felt normal soreness (I'd just had surgery!) but no pain and my foot is now fully recovered and feels great. I am thrilled to be able to do the things I love again without pain. Thank you Dr. Patel!

In addition to my great experience with Dr. Patel, the entire staff at Carolina Foot & Ankle has been a joy to work with. They are always so kind, patient, and understanding. When I had a scheduling misunderstanding and got anxious, Kristel and Brittnee were so empathetic and sweet, and helped get everything worked out for me. Dr. Patel's PA, Courtney, is a such a comforting presence with a fun attitude and makes the appointments easy. Holly stepped in while Courtney was out and has been such a sweet person to work with.

Terrible experience thus far. Took them 4 months to get back to me after they got MRI/Xray scans of my foot. This is a super non-invasive surgery and I eventually left several messages to see what was going on. The receptionist apologized and couldn't believe my doctor never followed up. Not to mention they've overcharged on everything. Regardless of the pay, the assistants and doctors don't seem to collaborate. I was told I was going to have a quick in office surgery, then found out I was scheduled for physicals, check ups, and had to go to the surgery center and be put under anesthesia by one of the assistants. This is all for a super small cyst on the bottom of a toe... I was then told they've been communicating with me on UNC mychart... and there are no messages to me. I'm transferring all my documents to get my surgery done through WakeMed. I've never had such a terrible experience and headache as with UNC Carolina foot and ankle.

I was supposed to be a new patient for Dr. Tobin and I've never had to use medicaid before so I wasn't sure how things work. I called because I injured myself and had to go to the ER and they recommended I follow up with my primary. The girl that answered the phone was straight up rude. I'm not sure if this is how medicaid patients are normally treated but she could care less that I can't walk due to my injury and just explained to me that Dr Tobin is not my doctor and with medicaid I don't get to choose even though on my application I did get to choose. She then went on to explain that it didn't matter anyways because he is booked until the middle of June. So instead of providing solution she pretty much just said go somewhere else. So I did and they were very helpful and very informative and empathize with my current situation. Whoever answers the phone here needs some training on patient interactions. I've always had private insurance and maybe this is just how they treat medicaid patients.

I started going to Carolina Foot & Ankle Specialists due to a chronic ankle issue. After several appointments, an arthroscopic procedure, and post op followup appointments, I am 100% satisified with the care I recieved. Dr Dhagash Pankaj Patel and his staff were great at every step of the way. Dr Patel throughly explained what needed to be done and what results I could expect. The end result is my ankle feels better and has a better range of motion than it has in years. I could not be happier with my outcome and I highly recommend Carolina Foot & Ankle if the need arises.

The staff at Carolina Foot & Ankle is fantastic. I have never met a doctor like Dr. Tobin. He is so friendly and understanding. I am not good with needles and he always manages to make me comfortable and relaxed. The office staff and his assistant Tina are great with patients as well. I am so impressed. Highly recommend.

I had an orthotic insert made by this practice at a cost of $375.00. When I received the insert it did not fit the bottom of my foot. The information provided with the insert stated that the insert would be revised up to 6 months at no charge. I made an appointment to have it revised and the office assured me there would be no charge. At the appointment, I again asked if there would be a charge and was told no charge by the front desk and no copayment was collected. I reminded Dr. Tobin that this was a no charge appointment and he made the revision which took about 10 min. I have been charged $97.00 by this practice and UNC Health will not reverse the charge since Dr. Tobin coded this as an office visit and will not revise the charge. Dr. Tobin and this practice are deceptive in there billing practices and do not stand by their word.
